Today we went for a walk in the Odenwald. But first I had to go to Edingen to a friend’s place to prepare some coconut-curry-soup to be ready to be eaten when we get back in the evening. Thus I crossed the Neckar when the sun just got up.

Temperatures are around -5°C at daytime, almost no wind and sun – what do you want more?!

Well, maybe some hot tea, muffins, poppy-seed-cake and cookies ?!

We went by car to some place a bit east of Schriesheim, a place north of Heidelberg. Map can be seen here. (kmz)

On the way back we continued a long time along a small brook and observed the ice there. Interesting forms and sounds.

After almost five hours we were back at where we started and hungry for some warming soup (with maybe a bit too much chili):
