That the view from the door of my appartement; and that was the start for a more or less relaxed run up Heiligenberg, the hill on the other side of Heidelbergs castle.
We went up Philosophenweg, a quick view on the old town and then the steep route towards the Thingstätte and the ruins of the old monastry.
On Saturday I followed the red track, whereas at wednesday I’ve been running a similar track, the green one. Both about 18km, 500-700 meters of height and currently still needing 2 hours.
It has already been snowing for a few days, but it melted away every day. This morning quite a lot of snow stayed at least until noon.
Almost at the monastry and after a few hundret steps in the Thingsstätte we finally arrived at the highest point of the track, the old monastry.
…. and continued further to the valley in which I was living 3 years, before I went to Finland.
A quick look on the ‘new’ university part of town.
and when we’ve been back on Philosophenweg we decided to go back via the Hirschgasse, since it’s (almost) flat until there (actually not) and the way back by the river, passing under the ‘old bridge’ looked nice.
