Five Meter Waves

One year ago, it was getting louder abord, less sleep and higher waves. Nobody really felt comfortable any more. sometimes the autopilot was not used any more, since steering the boat manually seemed to be more suitable when racing down waves with 18kn and then stopped abruptly at the bottom again. B. was worried that the breaking waves hitting the ship from below and making teacups fly off the table by some 10cm (or us, if we wouldn’t have had a matress below us for sleeping) were seriously damaging the boat. Some water close to the engine, no idea where it came from. Sails down, sailing on average six knots just by the pure cross-section of the ship.
